No MMPA Rate Increase for 2021

January 21, 2021

The Board of Directors of the Minnesota Municipal Power Agency (MMPA) approved the Agency’s budget and rates for 2021 at its meeting on December 22, 2020.  The rates approved for 2021 were the same as those for 2020, with no rate increase.

“I’m pleased that we’re able to maintain rates at current levels,” said Matt Podhradsky, Chair of MMPA’s Board of Directors.  “This action supports our mission to provide reliable, competitively-priced power to our members and to create value for MMPA and our members,” he added.

MMPA provides power to twelve Minnesota municipal utilities, which in turn supply power to more than 160,000 Minnesotans.
